Overlander R240 Horsebox

The most recent facelift model of The Overlander R240 2-Stalled Horsebox is the newest addition to the lineup. This 3.5-ton Overlander R240 2-Stalled Horsebox is a formidable presence in the market. Constructed on a new 3.5-ton Peugeot chassis, the R240 cab features air-conditioning, cruise control, a dual passenger seat, DAB radio with USB input and AUX, steering wheel controls, and extended wing mirrors to enhance visibility and safety.

Prioritising the safety of the horse, an approved camera monitoring system has been installed to ensure complete peace of mind. The R240 also includes a stepped-back bulkhead, which increases cabin space for storage and improves sound absorption, thereby maximizing comfort for passengers. The R240 is designed with the horse’s needs in mind.

After years of consultation with breeders, trainers, jockeys, and professional transporters, Overlander’s engineers have developed a robust, lightweight, and straightforward stall system. The long stall design features a full-height slotted Divider Gate, Divider Door, and two access Partition Doors, eliminating the necessity for a breast bar. The Gates and Doors have been specifically designed and manufactured in-house for the R240, utilising a reinforced core with double-skinned GRP. These components are durable, easy to clean, age-resistant, and lightweight.

The Divider Gate is installed, by default, on a robust sliding mechanism featuring 3 adjustable locking positions. This straightforward design enables the gate to slide into various positions to accommodate mares and foals, requiring no more than one person to adjust the stalls. The double shoot bolt guarantees a fully secure locking mechanism. For the individual doors, they have developed and implemented a dual operating spring-loaded lock rod system, facilitating easy use and seamless entry and exit to the groom’s area.

The R240 horsebox is available in four different standard colours using a direct gloss system.
